Methanation Technology
Methanation
We are jointly developing methanation technology to support the realization of carbon recycling. CO₂ contained in exhaust gas emitted from melting furnaces is captured and reacted with hydrogen to produce synthetic methane. The generated synthetic methane is then reused as burner fuel and circulated back into the melting process. A test plant equipped with this system is already in operation, and technical verification toward practical application is currently underway.
Chemically react CO₂ and H₂ to synthesize methane.

❸ H₂ reacts with CO₂ to produce CH₄.
❷ CO₂ Recovery from Industrial Furnaces
❹ Reusing CH₄ by Supplying It to Gas-Fueled Facilities
